DFS Group builds duty-free stores on Aconex

DFS Group designs and constructs large duty‑free retail stores worldwide, including major projects at Singapore Changi Airport, T Galleria on George Street in Sydney, and a 300,000+ sq. ft. galleria in Macau. Each project presented unique challenges — minimizing disruption to live airport operations, strict heritage and public‑scrutiny regulations in Sydney, and managing an unusually large, complex building in Macau — along with a need to standardize data and processes across dispersed design and construction teams.

DFS adopted the Aconex collaboration platform as a central project hub to connect multiple organizations, manage workflows for design reviews, RFIs and change control, and provide batch document transmission with version control and a full audit trail. The result was real‑time visibility and control of project information, faster team ramp‑up, improved efficiency and reduced risk, and better identification of delays and bottlenecks to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
