Denver International Airport flies right with Aconex

Parsons led the Denver International Airport Hotel and Transit Center program—a multi-project effort including a 500+-room Westin, a commuter rail station, bus transit center and public plaza—and faced the challenge of coordinating dozens of independent but physically integrated contracts. The program required document sharing across 116 organizations, managing 150,000 drawings, photos and videos (some up to 3 GB), and efficient change management across multiple phases without the constraint of individual software licenses.

Parsons implemented Oracle Aconex (Project Controls and Collaboration) as a multi‑tenant cloud platform to provide a single online system for workflows, document distribution, transparent tracking and a full audit trail. The solution supported all file types/sizes and rapid onboarding, reduced document controllers from three to one (≈$100K annual savings), eliminated RFI bottlenecks for 2,000 RFIs with turnaround cut to 10 days, improved reporting accuracy and accelerated change‑management and issue resolution across the program.
