Delmon Poultry Shortens Sales Reconciliation by 4 Days, Closes Accounts 12 Days Faster

Delmon Poultry Company (DEPCO) is a Bahrain-based producer of halal poultry and hatchery products (Farm Chicken) that processes more than 30,000 chickens daily and employs 186 staff. DEPCO needed to accelerate reconciliation of daily sales and inventory (a task that once took up to five worker-days), integrate finance, HR, and supply-chain data onto a single platform, automate payroll and timekeeping, and shorten month-end and account-closing cycles.

DEPCO implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 (with Oracle Financials, HR, Inventory, Payroll, Time and Labor, and Order Management) in a 16-week project with partner Evosys, integrating handheld barcode scanners and time-and-attendance systems. The solution cut daily sales reconciliation from five days to one, reduced payroll processing to two days, shortened month-end closes from up to 15 days to three, improved feed-mill production accuracy, and delivered centralized, accurate financial and operational reporting.
