Case Study: Dar Al Dawa achieves faster data synchronization and lower costs with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the Dar Al Dawa Case Study

Dar Al Dawa synchronizes data 75% faster, cuts costs by 90% using OCI

Dar Al Dawa, a pharmaceutical manufacturer serving the Middle East and North Africa, was struggling with slow data synchronization, costly infrastructure, and lengthy backup and recovery times while running Oracle E-Business Suite on-premises. The company needed a more scalable, secure platform to support its ERP and CRM workloads, reduce total cost of ownership, and improve reporting and daily operations using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Oracle migrated Dar Al Dawa’s EBS and CRM workloads to OCI with Oracle Cloud Lift Services, along with services like Block Storage and Virtual Cloud Networks. The result was a 75% reduction in data synchronization time, 87.5% faster backup and recovery, and a 90% cut in input/output costs; backups now take 45 minutes instead of more than 6 hours, and archived storage costs dropped from US$70 to US$7 per month.
