Preview of the Danone Pulmuone Case Study

Danone Pulmuone gains real-time insight into sales performance with Oracle Cloud

Danone Pulmuone, the Korean subsidiary of Danone, sells a range of yogurt brands through discount stores, retailers, home delivery and foodservice channels. The company relied on a legacy SAP ERP and manual spreadsheets to consolidate product, pricing and financial data—a slow, error-prone four-day process that hindered timely decision making and effective budget allocation.

With support from Oracle and partner BLUEbc, Danone Pulmuone replaced SAP with Oracle E-Business Suite and implemented Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (Oracle Cloud EPM). The new integrated management accounting platform went live in three months, cut profit-and-loss reporting time by 25% (from four days to three), improved data accuracy and reliability, enabled fast, multidimensional sales analysis by channel and brand, and increased productivity through on-demand ad-hoc reporting.
