Dallas County Boosts Enterprise Resource Planning to Manage Day-to-Day Business with Confidence and Ease Saves Countless Work Hours

Dallas County, Texas—a jurisdiction of more than 2.3 million residents with about 6,000 employees—needed to upgrade its Oracle E-Business Suite from 11.5.10.2 to Release 12.1 to maintain vendor support and gain critical functionality such as W-2 processing and automated comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) generation. Partnering with Oracle and Platinum Partner AST Corporation, Dallas County implemented Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1 (including Financials, Human Resources and iRecruitment) and went live in six months. The new system automated CAFR production—saving countless work hours—streamlined purchasing, HR and budgeting processes, and delivered reliable, scalable ERP capabilities that improved operational confidence and efficiency.
