A Oracle Case Study
Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) is a semigovernmental telecom provider in Cyprus that, after industry deregulation and the convergence of telecom, IT, and multimedia, needed to modernize and simplify a fragmented IT landscape. The organization sought to replace disparate legacy systems, reduce operational and maintenance costs, automate time-consuming administrative processes (invoicing, payments, inventory, requisitions, cash management), and establish a single source of trusted data to remain competitive and agile.
CYTA implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 (including Financials, Human Resources, Purchasing, Inventory, and Oracle Database) with Oracle Consulting, consolidating systems onto one database and streamlining processes. Results included a consolidated financial/logistics view, customer invoicing 10 days faster, leave approvals up to 30% faster, over 80% of employees working more efficiently, automated procure-to-pay, faster expense reimbursement, the reassignment of two FTEs to strategic work, employee satisfaction above 75%, and completion on time and on budget.
