CTDI Moves Sustainability Initiatives Forward with Oracle EPM Cloud

CTDI (Communications Test Design, Inc.) is a global engineering, repair, and logistics company serving telecom and OEM customers. Facing a corporate mandate to reduce its carbon footprint and embed sustainability into planning across 90+ facilities, CTDI needed scalable financial modeling to quantify and drive cost-saving and energy-reduction initiatives while moving away from on-premises infrastructure.

CTDI implemented Oracle Cloud EPM (including Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service) to move financial modeling to the cloud, eliminate upfront infrastructure investment, and support sustainability planning. The change enabled decommissioning of 3–6 servers (saving an estimated $7,500–$15,000 annually and avoiding $150,000 in hardware costs), cut energy use by 70–80% versus on-premises servers, and—according to CTDI leadership—delivered more than $150,000 in annual savings while advancing ongoing sustainability goals.
