Case Study: credsystem achieves greater agility and lower costs with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the Credsystem Case Study

Credsystem boosts agility and enters new markets with Oracle

credsystem, a major Brazilian private-label and co-branded card issuer serving more than 36 million cardholders, needed to modernize its aging on-premises Oracle Exadata environment to support growth into new markets and handle spikes in transaction volume with higher availability, elastic computing, and lower costs. The company also wanted a cloud approach that would avoid heavy lock-in and better support secure, cloud-native development.

Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Oracle Exadata Database Service, FastConnect, OCI API Gateway, Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service, and OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE). The move was smooth with no code changes, cutting Exadata setup time from four months to one day and delivering a 50% reduction in total cost of ownership. Oracle also helped credsystem meet recovery objectives, improve security, replace third-party tape backup, and speed agile development, enabling the company to expand confidently while keeping core payment services highly available.
