Co-operators, a Canadian insurance and financial services group serving more than 5.2 million members, faced a patchwork of aging financial systems spread across on-premises servers and mainframes. With Oracle E-Business Suite, an SAP planning and budgeting tool, and other legacy applications reaching end of life, the company needed a more unified, flexible platform to support growth and future compliance needs.
Co-operators implemented Oracle Cloud applications, including Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM, with help from Oracle Consulting Services. The move created a single platform that reduced costs, streamlined support, and improved integration between back-office and customer-facing operations, while also giving Co-operators the stability to address IFRS requirements and launch new services such as advice-based wealth management.
