Co-op hires 20,000 staffers yearly with Oracle Cloud

Co-op, the UK grocery chain with 2,600 stores, needed to hire about 20,000 staffers a year while attracting more diverse and best-fit candidates for its convenience stores and small markets. To do this, Co-op used Oracle Cloud HCM, including Oracle Taleo Recruiting, to standardize job postings and improve recruiting across its network.

Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud HCM with Oracle Taleo Recruiting and Oracle Integration Cloud, and Capgemini built a custom “My Colleague Recruit” interface to let store managers create job ads in just a few clicks. The results were strong: Co-op’s stores achieved a 98% offer acceptance rate, and the company expanded its reach to more inclusive talent across the British Isles.
