To support its open source mission while keeping infrastructure cost-efficient, Oracle provided OCI Arm credits and cloud resources to help CNCF explore a more scalable and affordable option.

Oracle implemented a phased migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), using services such as OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Compute, Block Storage, File Storage, and Virtual Cloud Network. The move delivered about $1 million in annual savings, improved flexibility, and helped CNCF optimize performance and cost management, with Oracle’s Go-Live Assurance Team supporting a smooth transition.
