Case Study: CMiC achieves 10x faster deployments and a scalable, secure construction platform with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (Oracle)

CMiC deployed their new R12 Construction Enterprise software on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

CMiC is a long-established construction software provider whose single-database enterprise and field platform is used by a large portion of the industry, including 27% of ENR Top 100 contractors. Faced with unpredictable costs, slow hardware procurement and VM deployment processes, and the need for strong security and compliance, CMiC sought a cloud strategy that could deliver predictable resources, better performance and easier scaling.

CMiC migrated its R12 Construction Enterprise and new Collaborate site to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, using OCI compute, block storage and load balancing with private subnets and Oracle Database. The move delivered faster, repeatable deployments (about 10x faster), consistent upgrades for hundreds of cloud customers, improved security and performance, and a simpler path to scale and future innovations like autonomous databases and bare‑metal compute.
