Choctaw Nation cuts complexity and costs across its operations with Oracle Cloud

Choctaw Nation, a large sovereign tribal nation in southeastern Oklahoma, was managing a complex mix of casinos, hotels, restaurants, medical facilities, and public services with aging, highly customized HR and finance systems. As its operations grew, the Nation needed a more integrated, secure platform from Oracle to reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, support tribal-specific HR needs, and create a single source of truth across the business.

Working with Oracle Consulting, Choctaw Nation implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, including Oracle Cloud HCM, Oracle Taleo, and Oracle Cloud ERP. The result was major efficiency gains: 25% of manual steps were eliminated, manual HR and payroll processes dropped by more than 80% in the first month, and financial controls, approval routing, and procure-to-pay processing improved significantly, helping align costs to industry standards and reduce AP backlogs.
