A Oracle Case Study
Chiyoda Corporation, a global engineering and construction firm known for building LNG plants and large petrochemical and refinery facilities, needed to standardize and automate identity and access management across domestic and overseas subsidiaries (including joint ventures). The company sought to simplify user provisioning and access‑control administration, support global HR processes and secure rapid data sharing across heterogeneous enterprise systems to keep multi‑site projects running smoothly.
Chiyoda deployed Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Virtual Directory, and Oracle Access Management Suite to centralize identity life‑cycle management, provide a single employee directory, and enable single sign‑on. As a result, security batches now run daily instead of monthly, employees can self‑reset passwords, 80 web and Windows applications use SSO, global identity policies are standardized, IT costs and helpdesk load were reduced, and the solution scales to support future cloud and business expansion.
