Children’s Mercy Kansas City streamlines provider documentation with Oracle Health

Children’s Mercy Kansas City faced growing provider burnout and inefficiency caused by heavy EHR documentation demands. To address this, the hospital worked with Oracle Health and used Oracle Health EHR data to identify where providers were spending the most time in documentation, chart review, and after-hours work.

Oracle Health helped Children’s Mercy build a dashboard and tailor reports for its Project HOPE training program, which coached providers on more efficient workflows and use of Oracle Health Dynamic Documentation. The results were strong: 322 providers were coached, 187 saved at least an hour, and participants collectively saved about 2,500 hours. Provider self-ratings improved from 6 to nearly 8, 99% would recommend the program, and more than 95% said they applied the efficiency tips.
