Cerved boosts performance and flexibility with Exadata Database Service and OCI

Cerved, a provider of credit assessment, management, and recovery services, needed a way to handle rapidly growing data volumes, improve performance, and move beyond its on-premises data centers. The company chose Oracle OCI, including Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure, to support its cloud migration and help deliver faster, more predictive business insights.

Oracle implemented a six-month pilot and then helped Cerved migrate core databases to OCI with Exadata, FastConnect, and related cloud services. The result was consolidation from 44 databases to six, automated backups, and more time for staff to focus on architecture and new data development. Oracle also helped Cerved achieve better performance with an upgrade from X6 to X8M, and low-latency connectivity to AWS of 2 milliseconds, improving scalability and supporting faster customer decision-making.
