Certinvest is a Bucharest-based independent asset manager serving about 20,000 customers in a rapidly consolidating Romanian market. The firm struggled with a legacy, internally developed investment core (in use since 2006) for which few IT experts remained, and needed to digitally transform to streamline processes, improve customer service, shorten time to market for new products, and reduce IT overhead.

Certinvest implemented the Clavis investment application (built by Oracle partner Dorsum) on Oracle Database Cloud Service and Oracle Storage Cloud Service, modernizing operations and moving to an Opex model. The cloud deployment improved transaction visibility and reporting, increased security and scalability with automated patching, cut IT overhead by an estimated 15–20%, sped up delivery of online services to stay competitive with bank-owned managers, and delivered projected multi-year cost savings.
