Certegy provides banking authorization and risk management for more than 4,000 retailers and 300,000+ locations, processing $43 billion in check volume and data on roughly 100 million consumers. Its core challenge is preventing payment fraud while making fast, accurate accept/decline decisions that protect retailers’ revenue and customer experience.

Certegy deployed Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Autonomous Database/Autonomous Data Warehouse and Oracle Analytics to consolidate 850 million records from 15+ sources, apply machine learning and spatial analysis, and give 25 analysts real-time models and interactive reporting. The solution adds autoscaling and automated administration, enables location-based anomaly detection, supports mobile payments, and is expected to cut fraud about 10% while reducing declined transactions and operational overhead.
