Carvana reconditions vehicles faster with Oracle Cloud services

Carvana, the online retailer of preowned vehicles, needed a better way to track and scale its vehicle inspection and reconditioning process while controlling costs, improving quality, and speeding up time to sale. Using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Visual Builder, Carvana built a custom app called Carli to replace siloed, error-prone legacy workflows and give teams real-time visibility into vehicle status and expenses.

With Oracle, Carvana integrated data across inspections, repairs, logistics, and parts procurement, while also adding analytics, automation, and machine learning to streamline decisions and daily tasks. The results included launch in 11 months, savings of hundreds of dollars per reconditioned vehicle, a 45% reduction in per-unit parts cost, and cycle times down to single digits, helping Carvana improve efficiency and support its strongest profitability to date.
