ByMyCell sees faster performance and lower costs with Oracle Cloud

ByMyCell, a genomics startup supporting biotechnology and agribusiness customers in Brazil, faced a major challenge: limited local computing infrastructure made it difficult to generate, process, and analyze large volumes of sequencing data efficiently. To expand its end-to-end genomic services, ByMyCell turned to Oracle Cloud and Oracle High Performance Computing on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) through the Oracle for Startups program.

Oracle helped ByMyCell migrate, store, and manage data in the cloud with technical support and local-currency pricing. With Oracle, the startup cut compute request wait times from a week to 24 hours, reduced processing costs by 20X versus on-premises servers, and gained the scalability and flexibility to provision resources faster and handle larger data volumes without delays.
