A Oracle Case Study
Byblos Bank, one of Lebanon’s top three banks with operations in 12 countries and listings on the London and Beirut stock exchanges, needed to modernize its finance and reporting environment to comply with IFRS and improve transparency. The bank faced a tight timeline to redesign its chart of accounts, consolidate multiple stand‑alone systems, integrate with its Temenos T24 core banking system, automate the procure‑to‑pay cycle, and manage organizational change to ensure user adoption.
Working with Oracle and partner Wipro, Byblos Bank implemented Oracle E‑Business Suite Release 12.1 across 11 modules—including Oracle Financials, Accounting Hub, Project Costing, iProcurement and Essbase—completing the rollout in ten months on time and on budget. The solution delivered automated IFRS and statutory reporting, full integration with T24, end‑to‑end procurement automation, a single source of consolidated financial data for transparent management reporting, and improved control and accountability.
