Borusan Oto Premium Produces More Accurate and Reliable Plans for Success in Luxury Car Leasing, Faster and More Efficiently

Borusan Otomotiv Premium Kiralama ve Ticaret A.Ş., a 2012-founded leasing arm of the Borusan Otomotiv Group in Istanbul, provides leasing for luxury brands such as BMW, MINI, Land Rover and Jaguar. The company needed to replace an inflexible spreadsheet-based planning system that could only handle four aggregated car types with a solution able to plan for 50+ car types, support multiple contributors to rolling budgets, and provide robust auditing to locate and correct calculation errors.

Working with partner KoçSistem, Borusan implemented Oracle Hyperion Planning (with Hyperion Smart View and Financial Reporting) to integrate budgets, actuals, projections and strategic plans. The new system cut preparation time for quarterly/annual budgets and the ten-year plan by at least 30% (first full-year budget completed in five months, ten-year plan by month seven), produced more reliable, auditable reporting, enabled rolling budgets with three months of actuals and nine months of projections, and improved analytics and collaboration among a small group of qualified users.
