Bionime modernizes data and analytics with Oracle MySQL HeatWave on AWS

Bionime, a Taiwan-based medical device manufacturer serving more than 100 countries, needed a faster way to process and analyze the large volumes of glucose-monitoring data behind its diabetes self-monitoring systems. Its analytics platform on AWS RDS was not keeping up, so Bionime turned to Oracle MySQL HeatWave on AWS to support real-time, accurate insights and its existing database environment.

Oracle implemented MySQL HeatWave on AWS as a fully managed platform combining transaction processing and in-memory analytics, eliminating separate analytics databases and ETL steps. As a result, Bionime reported 50X faster complex queries than AWS RDS, improved scalability with less administration, and faster application development to help launch its next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring product with real-time reporting.
