Bilbao Turismo, the city’s tourism office, needed a modern, multilingual website that marketing (nontechnical) staff could design and manage to promote Bilbao and the surrounding region to visitors, businesses, media, and tourism professionals. The site had to be device‑agnostic and able to incorporate heterogeneous text, graphics, and audiovisual content from dozens of local partners in Castilian, Basque, English, and French.
Using Oracle WebCenter Sites, Bilbao Turismo launched a visually powerful, fully scalable, responsive website in five months, integrating more than 11,000 content elements across four languages. The marketing team can now update content in near real time without IT support, the site supports future growth and mobile access, and it has become an indispensable promotional tool that saved time and resources while improving the visitor experience.
