BearingPoint RegTech improves performance 6X with Oracle Cloud

BearingPoint RegTech, a unit of consulting firm BearingPoint that provides regulatory and risk-technology solutions (including the Abacus360 Banking product), needed a more powerful, scalable infrastructure to support a cloud-native version of its software, faster data processing, and high-capacity testing. Its proprietary OpenStack-based cloud had reached capacity limits, blocking the company’s goal to standardize and automate development environments while meeting banking security and audit requirements.

Working with ICT Technology, BearingPoint RegTech migrated application development to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (Oracle Cloud Compute), which delivered up to 6x performance improvements and significantly reduced job completion times. The move cut infrastructure costs for the first 75 migrated servers, sped provisioning of new dev environments, standardized 130 virtual servers for more accurate testing and easier updates, enabled precise cost allocation, and gave teams flexibility over OS, database, and Java stacks—prompting a full migration to OCI.
