A Oracle Case Study
Baylor University needed to modernize its legacy back-office systems as higher education budgets tightened, while improving efficiency, lowering costs, and better supporting students, research, and faculty hiring. The university chose Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud EPM, and Oracle Cloud HCM to replace disconnected financial and HR processes and create a more unified, real-time view of operations.
Oracle implemented its cloud financial and HR applications, replacing 17 to 18 systems with a more intuitive interface. The results included a drop in employee hiring steps from 26 to 6 or 7, payroll runs reduced from 11 per month to 2, and a $37 million increase in online education revenue partly tied to simplified onboarding. Oracle also provided built-in security, redundancy, and business continuity that Baylor said were essential.
