A Oracle Case Study
Baxters Food Group is a family-owned UK food manufacturer known for soups, preserves and condiments that expanded globally through acquisitions, including a major U.S. purchase in 2014. As the business grew into the US, Canada, Poland and Australia, its small IT team struggled with legacy on-premise Hyperion Essbase systems and complex Excel models that made forecasting, planning and budgeting slow, error-prone and inconsistent across business units.
Baxters implemented Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service and Oracle analytics (Financial, Supply Chain, Procurement & Spend) with partner Qubix’s CloudBridge to automate data feeds from finance and ERP systems. The cloud solution created a single global planning process, removed offline files and manual models, improved forecast accuracy by enabling planning against actuals, and provided a stable, scalable platform to reduce waste and overhead as the company continues its global rollout.
