Bata India doubles labor productivity with Oracle Cloud

Bata India, a large retail and wholesale footwear company with more than 1,375 stores, was struggling with an inaccurate, disconnected in-house warehouse management system that could not keep up with growing inventory and the need for better visibility across distribution centers. To address these challenges, Bata India turned to Oracle and Oracle Warehouse Management as part of Oracle Cloud SCM.

Oracle implemented a cloud-based warehouse solution that centralized operations, improved inventory control, and gave Bata India real-time visibility into stock, worker locations, and performance. The results were significant: 99.9% inventory accuracy, a 17% increase in stock availability, a 51% increase in shoe inventory at retail stores, and labor productivity doubled from 400–500 pairs to 1,000 pairs per person per day.
