A Oracle Case Study
BAM International delivered the FIFA-standard Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium (Phase I) and a large mixed-use Phase II development including 550 apartments, commercial buildings, parking structures and a 4‑star hotel. The project faced fragmented collaboration across organizations, resistance to new technology, long review cycles (RFIs taking up to 14 days) and difficulty accessing large BIM files on site.
BAM adopted Oracle Aconex as a neutral, centralized platform with secure organization spaces and training, standardizing processes across projects and removing file‑size limits for multidimensional models. The result: RFI review cycles were cut by 50%, paperless workflows saved an estimated AED 129 million (US$35 million) across two projects, document controllers were reduced from eight to two (saving AED 17 million / US$0.5 million), and all users gained fast access to BIM data without authoring software.
