A Oracle Case Study
averda, the largest environmental solutions provider in the GCC and MENA regions with more than 7,500 employees, needed to modernize and centralize maintenance for its fleet and industrial equipment. The company’s challenge was to fully automate preventive and contracted maintenance, streamline work-order generation, consolidate disparate maintenance records (including third‑party tools and spreadsheets), and improve cost forecasting and budget planning across inventory, finance, and HR systems.
averda implemented Oracle Enterprise Asset Management, replacing its standalone Maximo application and manual spreadsheets with a single integrated maintenance system that updates inventory, general ledger, and labor records in real time. The six‑month project, delivered on time and on budget, produced measurable gains: more accurate preventive and planned maintenance, automated senior‑management reporting, and tracked manpower and expenditure metrics that showed average monthly savings of 280 work hours (about US$85,000).
