A Oracle Case Study
AsisMed, based in Mexico City, provides virtual healthcare and travel assistance services in Mexico, and needed a more secure, stable way to support telemedicine during the pandemic. The company wanted a platform for chat and video consultations that would keep patients close to their healthcare providers, protect sensitive information, and replace inefficient manual checks across multiple databases. AsisMed chose Oracle Service Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with support from BDS Consulting.
Using Oracle Service Cloud and OCI, AsisMed built a single telemedicine platform for chat and video calls, integrated social media, a web app, and its portal, and consolidated patient data in one place. The Oracle solution improved operational efficiency and care quality, increased service volume to 1.2 million users and 14,000 to 16,000 calls per month, and helped reduce entitlement-check time from up to 1.5 minutes to 30 seconds. Oracle also enabled encrypted interactions and better security, supporting a 200% increase in calls and faster, more effective service.
