Arlington Public Schools Improves Operational Efficiency and Educator and Administrator Effectiveness While Reducing Costs

Arlington Public Schools, a public school division in Arlington, Virginia with about 4,000 employees including more than 2,000 teachers, needed to eliminate technology silos and expand ERP capabilities while giving educators and administrators self-service access to pay slips, W-2s, expense reporting and online procurement. The district also sought a flexible, secure solution that would reduce manual paper processes and support future functionality improvements.

Arlington chose Oracle Managed Cloud Services for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (upgraded with partner AST), gaining an integrated, enterprise-grade managed cloud that improved uptime, security and interoperability. The deployment automated payments and timesheet flows, replaced paper workflows with Oracle Internet Expenses and iProcurement punch-outs, launched a performance-management pilot for 600 staff, lowered maintenance costs, freed IT personnel for strategic work, and strengthened operational efficiency while reducing administrative workload and overall costs.
