A Oracle Case Study
Aluminium du Maroc, founded in 1976 and headquartered in Tangier, is a Moroccan manufacturer of aluminum alloy profiles serving construction, electrical, transportation, and telecommunications markets. Facing capital-intensive production of about 24,000 tons per year and thousands of product variants, the company needed to optimize production planning, material flow, and scheduling; integrate ERP and MES data for real-time visibility; manage raw material price volatility, energy and transport costs, and environmental constraints; and meet financial reporting requirements.
Aluminium du Maroc deployed Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 and Oracle Database, integrated with its in-house MES, to synchronize sales and production, deliver real-time downtime and delay reports, and enforce configuration rules. The solution reduced configuration errors, matched orders to stock to improve material utilization and cut waste and rework, enabled tailored pricing and better order confirmation and delivery times, strengthened credit controls and electronic financial reporting, and overall increased manufacturing productivity and customer satisfaction while supporting business growth.
