AgroScout, a sustainable AI agronomy startup, needed a cloud platform that could scale globally and provide enough storage, compute, and AI support to run its computer vision algorithms on thousands of drone-captured farm images. The company turned to Oracle Cloud and Oracle for Startups to help analyze crop fields for pests and diseases and support its mission to improve yields and reduce pesticide use.
Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud Native Services, including Container Engine for Kubernetes and Cloud Infrastructure Registry, along with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GPU instances to power AgroScout’s machine-learning workloads. As a result, AgroScout cut application update and deployment times from 24 hours to just minutes, enabling faster iteration and more efficient global-scale scouting for farmers.
