Adventist Health improves financial planning with Oracle Analytics

Adventist Health, a large West Coast and Hawaii care network with tens of thousands of staff, hospitals, clinics, home‑care agencies, hospices, and retirement centers, faced fragmented finance and HR operations built on spreadsheets and an aging AS/400 system. The setup was labor‑intensive, error‑prone, and prevented a unified view of data needed to improve financial planning and patient care across the organization.

Adventist moved all data and analytics to Oracle Cloud—using Oracle Analytics, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/EPM—to centralize financial services and standardize processes across 250 clinics. The change cut the budgeting cycle from six months to three, migrated data and delivered dashboards in four months with full transformation in nine months, enabled three analysts to support 900 users, increased data security, and set the stage to bring clinical data into the cloud for ML/AI‑driven insights and better patient outcomes.
