Advania hf, a leading Nordic IT services company headquartered in Reykjavik with about 1,100 employees, more than 10,000 corporate clients and 17 offices across Iceland, Norway and Sweden, needed to modernize its IT backbone. Advania consolidated onto a single Oracle platform—upgrading to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 and migrating its database to Oracle SuperCluster on Oracle Solaris 11.1 with Oracle Database and Oracle Platinum Services. The move stabilized operations, improved availability and support, accelerated development and testing, and cut operating overhead; most notably, complex financial reports now run 60–70% faster, boosting end-user productivity and enabling faster, better business decisions.
