ADDC Deploys the Middle East’s First Oracle SuperCluster M7

Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) operates Abu Dhabi’s water and electricity distribution network serving over 400,000 customers and sought to accelerate its digital transformation. Facing high latency from heterogeneous infrastructure, frequent CPU/memory overloads, slow batch/report windows, and the need to deliver responsive e‑services and peak‑time customer support, ADDC needed a high‑performance, consolidated platform to ensure business continuity and enable new digital initiatives.

ADDC migrated its customer care and billing applications and databases onto Oracle SuperCluster M7 and associated Oracle technologies, consolidating legacy servers and storage. The change delivered a 2–10x performance increase, slashed key job times (for example, an actual meter unit report from 8 days to 11 hours and a consumption revenue report from 79 minutes to 5 minutes), reduced backup/restore times 12x, expanded e‑service capabilities, improved customer and staff experience, and lowered energy use and maintenance complexity.
