Abu Dhabi University Reduces Budgeting and Reporting Cycles by More Than 60%

Abu Dhabi University (ADU), a UAE higher-education institution operating under five‑year strategic plans, faced fragmented, Excel‑based budgeting and forecasting that was slow, error‑prone, and poorly aligned with operational and financial goals. The university needed an end‑to‑end Enterprise Performance Management solution to handle revenue, human capital, scholarships, operating and capital expenses, and to integrate budgeting with financials, procurement, HCM and the student information system.

ADU deployed Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service and Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service (implemented with partner Azdan) in 2016, going live within four months. The cloud solution centralized and automated workflows and security, improved forecasting accuracy with rolling forecasts and what‑if modeling, and integrated with PeopleSoft—cutting budgeting and reporting cycle times by more than 60%, strengthening budget control and decision making, and reducing infrastructure costs.
