The challenge was to produce a compliant, multilingual solution that integrates with existing JD Edwards environments, automates hazard calculations and regulatory text, protects proprietary formulas from external translators/printers, and shortens time-to-market for customers.

Using JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools 9.0, ABK developed and deployed a user-friendly SDS management module in under three months—about five times faster than legacy tools—while maintaining compatibility across JD Edwards releases. The module cut SDS authoring from three days to under five minutes, improved accuracy with automated hazard and precautionary statements, enabled in-house multilingual printing without exposing trade secrets, increased ABK’s profitability by 20%, and expanded customer reach into new European markets.
