Worthington Industries Leverages Engineered Systems and Cloud Solution to Support Global Growth Strategy

Worthington Industries, a global metals manufacturing company, needed to consolidate financial systems, automate manufacturing and work-order processes, and support 24/7 operations across more than 80 facilities. To do this, the company turned to Oracle Exadata and Oracle Managed Cloud Services to upgrade and run an integrated ERP and supply chain environment with better scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.

Oracle Exadata helped Worthington Industries implement Oracle E-Business Suite Managed Cloud Services, upgrade to Release 12, and deploy Advanced Supply Chain Planning on engineered systems. The results included 99.8% availability, forecasts developed 3x faster, forecasting accuracy improved by about 50%, and data warehouse loads running 4x faster, while also reducing customizations and improving system performance.
