Teach For America, a nonprofit focused on eliminating educational inequity, needed a higher-performing data infrastructure that could handle major seasonal spikes in teacher application traffic while reducing IT complexity and costs. Teach For America turned to Oracle Exadata for its database and application environment.

Oracle Exadata consolidated the company’s databases onto Oracle Exadata Database Machine, simplifying management across 26 databases and improving performance, availability, and security. The result was an estimated US$600,000 in savings over three years, faster development environment setup in hours instead of weeks, and consistently strong portal performance during peak application periods. Teach For America also reduced infrastructure complexity and freed IT resources to focus on mission-critical work.
