Rakuten, Inc., Japan’s largest online shopping mall and a broad digital services provider, needed to train its engineers on the latest database knowledge and skills to support a successful migration to Oracle Exadata and improve the performance of its online shopping services. The company also wanted a training and certification plan that would help engineers upgrade their skills quickly and provide ongoing post-implementation support.

Rakuten worked with Oracle Exadata through Oracle University and Oracle Consulting to create a structured, role-based training program. In less than six months, 15 engineers completed database training, gaining the confidence and practical expertise to migrate and manage the new platform, enabling rapid deployment, smoother migration, and improved business performance through better use of Oracle Exadata.
