Public Pension Agency Boosts Quality of Services Delivered to Public Sector and Military Pension Beneficiaries While Reducing Database Licenses by 40%

The Public Pension Agency, part of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance, needed to support nearly 800,000 pension beneficiaries while improving service quality, speeding application delivery, and reducing IT costs. To do this, it worked with Oracle Exadata and related Oracle engineered systems, including Oracle SuperCluster, to replace a fragmented legacy environment and consolidate servers, databases, and applications.

Oracle Exadata helped the Public Pension Agency build a high-performance, highly available private cloud with better lifecycle management and lower operating complexity. The results included 40% fewer Oracle Database licenses, 10x higher database throughput, 4x faster queries, faster time to market, and improved service quality for public sector and military retirees.
