To address this, Panasonic Information Systems worked with Oracle Exadata using Oracle Database 12c and Oracle Multitenant to consolidate multiple databases into a more efficient private cloud environment.

With Oracle Exadata, Panasonic Information Systems consolidated 38 pluggable databases into one multitenant container database, improving performance by up to 6.7x and cutting operating workload by 15x. The company also lowered maintenance and hardware costs, simplified patching and upgrades, improved collaboration between application and database teams, and strengthened availability and business continuity with Oracle Data Guard.
