A Oracle Exadata Case Study

Preview of the NHS Business Services Authority Case Study

NHS Business Services Authority - Customer Case Study

NHS Business Services Authority, the NHS body responsible for major services and payments, needed a centralized way to make better use of data spread across multiple systems to reduce fraud, error, and waste. To address this challenge, it worked with Oracle Exadata and related Oracle analytics tools, including Oracle Advanced Analytics and Oracle Exalytics, to create a new data-driven environment.

Oracle Exadata helped power the NHSBSA’s Data Analytics Learning Laboratory, enabling rapid analysis of billions of records and unstructured text. Within three months, the organization identified circa GBP100 million in potential savings, reduced dentistry record mismatches from 15% to 5%, uncovered fraudulent EHIC applications, and improved detection of suspicious claims and patterns across NHS services.
