Jeju National University Hospital Increases Doctor Productivity with Oracle

Jeju National University Hospital, one of Korea’s leading national university hospitals, needed to standardize its IT infrastructure and improve the performance and reliability of critical medical systems like EMR, PACS, and groupware. The hospital wanted to boost doctor productivity, reduce bottlenecks, and provide more stable, high-quality patient care using Oracle Exadata.

Oracle Exadata, along with Oracle Management Cloud, was implemented to consolidate databases and servers, simplify management, and strengthen availability and disaster recovery. The results were significant: EMR performance improved 33.5x, memory and CPU usage dropped across key systems, and IT teams gained faster log monitoring and issue resolution. The upgraded platform went live in eight months and helped improve staff productivity while lowering operating and maintenance effort.
