Generalitat Valenciana, the government of Spain’s Valencia region, needed to consolidate more than 50 aging databases and servers and migrate over 20TB of public administration records without disrupting access for civil servants or citizens. Working with Oracle Exadata, it aimed to improve performance, strengthen backups and data security, and make its IT environment more efficient and easier to manage.

Oracle Exadata helped Generalitat Valenciana unify and standardize its database infrastructure, with support from Oracle for design, implementation, and staff training. The result was a 50% boost in database performance, more than 10% lower storage requirements, and a 50% reduction in data migration and transformation time, while improving availability, scalability, and secure access for over 5 million citizens and 15,000 civil servants.
