Empresas SB, a leading Chilean holding group with nearly 500 stores and service locations, needed a high-performance, highly available, and scalable IT environment to improve business productivity, consolidate reporting from outdated systems, and handle growing transaction and product data across its retail and service network. The company also wanted better customer satisfaction for online sales and medical prescription handling, and turned to Oracle Exadata alongside Oracle’s broader cloud and enterprise applications.

Oracle Exadata helped Empresas SB build a scalable database platform that supported migration of key applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite, while Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle SOA Suite, and related Oracle solutions improved operations and customer service. Results included cutting large report and query times from 90 minutes to 10, reducing transaction processing from seven seconds to two, and answering customer inquiries within one day instead of three to four, giving Empresas SB faster insights, better reliability, and stronger decision-making.
