Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation - Customer Case Study

Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) needed to support rapid annual data growth, improve availability and performance for financial and HR systems, and lower technology ownership costs as its nuclear energy operations expanded. To meet these demands, ENEC evaluated options and selected Oracle Exadata, seeking a single-vendor platform with strong performance, stability, and scalability.

Oracle Exadata was implemented by ENEC’s in-house DBA team, which migrated Oracle E-Business Suite applications to the new platform in less than six months. The results were significant: monthly payroll processing dropped from 90 minutes to 8 minutes, a key HR interface fell from 90 minutes to 1 minute, and database cloning became 100% faster. Oracle Exadata also improved storage capacity, reduced downtime risk, lowered rack space and energy use, and is expected to cut technology ownership costs by US$500,000 over five years.
